School-Based Mental Health Coordinator

Billie Hartgrove, Ed.S., LPC, NCC is the School-Based Mental Health Coordinator for the DeSoto School District. She obtained an Education Specialist in Counseling degree from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with 15 years of experience in Suicide Prevention and Crisis Intervention.

In 2018, Billie became a collaborating member of ASPEN to help connect the community to resources and to help bridge the gaps within mental health. She is also the recipient of the 2022 Jefferson County School Counselor Association (JCSCA) and the Missouri School Counselor Association (MSCA) Advocate of the Year Award. In 2024, she recieved the Jefferson County Mental Health Champion Award from the Jefferson County Mental Health Summit Committee.  

Billie specializes in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) along with areas of concentration in depression, anxiety, self-injurious behaviors, and suicidal ideation. She provides effective solution-focused counseling services, community support resources, and mental health education to the district.
