Dear Parents and Guardians,
De Soto High School will hold Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 22, from 1:00–7:00 p.m.
In recent years, our participation data has shown that fewer than 10% of DHS parents and guardians have participated in Parent-Teacher Conferences. We recognize that work schedules, transportation, childcare, and other responsibilities can make it difficult for families to attend conferences in person. Our goal this year is to make it easier for every family to connect with their student's teachers.
We will continue to offer our traditional in-person conferences at the high school from 1:00 - 7:00 PM. However, for parents and guardians who are unable to attend in person, we are also asking you to consider scheduling a phone call or video conference with your student's teachers.
If you are unable to attend in person, please email your student's teachers directly to schedule a time for a phone or video conference on October 22. This will allow you to discuss your student's academic progress, ask questions, and work together with their teachers to support their success.

If you are unable to attend in person, work directly with your student's teachers to schedule a phone or video conference.
If you attend conferences in person and arrive at a teacher’s classroom with the door closed, please know that the teacher is likely participating in a scheduled phone or video conference. Please be patient and allow the teacher to finish their virtual conference; they will open their door and meet with you as soon as they are available.
Our students are most successful when school and home work together as a team. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to take advantage of Parent-Teacher Conferences in whatever format works best for your family.
