Additional Medical & Mental Health Resources

The Missouri Department of Mental Health (MO DMH) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) are good websites to reference during this difficult time.  These sites contain several resources for medical & mental health, food pantries, & other vital information.  This link will take you specifically to the MO DMH information on COVID-19 regarding Healthcare Professionals, Community & Workplace, and Family & Individuals resources.  They also provide the following helpline to talk with a mental health professional about any anxiety related to a natural disaster or crisis, and are currently specializing with distress related to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The toll-free Disaster Distress Helpline can provide immediate counseling to anyone who needs help dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic incident. This is a free, confidential, and multilingual crisis support service. Callers and texters are connected to trained and caring professionals from crisis counseling centers in the network. The Helpline staff provides confidential counseling, referrals, and other needed support services.


Pillar Counseling and Mental Wellness offers low-cost online counseling service.

West County Psychological Associates is also providing telecounseling either over the phone or using an online video platform.  Call 314-275-8599 or see visit their website. 

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MO DHSS) hotline also provides resources for mental health and is operated by medical professionals and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
